Lubrication:

◉  Used to lubricate carom and nevus boards, allowing for faster play.

Industrial:

◉  Used in the manufacture of monofilament fibreglass (textile fibreglass).
b. Used in glass, ceramics, refractories, paints, chemicals, and dye intermediates.
◉ Textile fibreglass is used to reinforce plastics in applications that range from boats to industrial piping to computer circuit boards.
◉  Used in the Electroplating industry, leather, adhesives and enamel industries.
◉ In the jewellery industry, it is used with denatured alcohol to reduce surface oxidation and fireplace from forming on metals during annealing and soldering operations.
◉  Used in production of the glass in LCD flat panel display.
◉  Used in the manufacture of ramming mass, a fine silica-containing powder. (porcelain)
◉  Used to neutralize active HF acid.
